Andrew Sperring
CEO
Andrew has worked in the construction industry for 17 years; he qualified in advanced carpentry and construction engineering, obtaining the ‘federation of master builder’s personnel award’ for outstanding work. Originally a carpenter working on renovation projects, he quickly accelerated his career to be a foreman of a high-end renovation company based in Bristol. In 2012 he became a site manager in London before working nationally building anything from offices, schools and modular buildings. He became a project manager for the world’s no.1 facilities management company and progressed to UK national project manager covering blue chip clients winning multiple awards and being known for ‘Making it happen’. Following this success, and seeking a fresh challenge, he returned to Bristol to join the family firm.
With his vast experience in both the residential and commercial sectors, he brings knowledge, innovation and leadership to the family run company. Using his APMP qualifications, he manages the project team to successfully deliver uncompromising results – even managing several projects simultaneously to make sure the project meets the customer’s vision to time scales and budget.
Andrew leads the firm as the Chief Executive Officer of JAS Building Services, and he has great plans for what’s to come.
Jim Sperring
Site Manager
Founder of JAS Building Services as family business for over 12 years. Jim also worked in the construction industry for over 47 years which covered domestic and commercial construction services. Jim provided all his extensive experiences, knowledge, skills and professionals insight to manage and delivered the projects.
Sam Sperring
Project Supervisor
Sam followed Jim for about 10 years as a multi trader and he has taken on the SMSTS programme to become a site manager and now Project Supervisor. From 2015, he started site supervising and managing the contractors. As well as his multi-trade skills, Sam has a wide knowledge of construction and able to deliver immediate problem-solving skills on site.
James Sperring
Lead Carpenter & Multi-Tradesman
James joined the company in the early years of the business. His ‘can do’ attitude propels him through any problem that may arise. As an expert carpenter and competent multi-tradesmen, James takes the lead to produce sensational work.
Tony Walker
Lead Carpenter & Multi-Tradesman
Tony joined the company in 2018 bringing his wealth of experience with him. Tony is a very driven individual who drives his colleagues forward to get the work done. He is a producer who can overcome any problem swiftly and effectively in his stride with great communication skills. Tony is terrific at passing on his knowledge to the team including apprentices, providing them with the more traditional methodologies you learn on the job.
