We engaged JAS for a complete update of the kitchen and main bathroom in our 1930s house.

As part of the project, JAS also carried out various works to the exterior of the house and updated the hallway flooring, creating a more modern feel as you enter.

Both our kitchen and bathroom were designed and completed to a very high standard. JAS helped us with the visualisation of the project and the selection of high standard materials, which is not something we could have done on our own.

JAS created a bespoke vanity unit in the bathroom, which is a fabulous focal point. Our kitchen layout dictated a more bespoke size of the cabinets which JAS came up with and built for us, creating a lot more room without structurally altering the space. There are beautiful brass accents throughout the bathroom and the kitchen and the colour scheme in both rooms is modern yet timeless.

We lived in the property for the majority of the time and we were impressed with how tidy the site was at the end of each day. If there were unforeseen issues along the way, JAS worked with us to resolve them and managed expectations throughout.

Andrew is always helpful and a great person to work with, our project managers on both phases were very personable and lovely to work with as well. The whole team and every single person JAS engage works to a very high standard.

JAS Building Service recently fitted our new kitchen. It was a tremendous upheaval but we knew that we were in safe hands right from the start. The quality of workmanship was excellent with complete attention to detail. Any issues that arose were discussed with us and appropriate solutions found.

Everything was left tidy at the end of each day and all of the resulting rubbish was removed. All of the workmen were extremely courteous and it was a pleasure getting to know many of them. As you would expect there were minor issues that needed to be addressed once the job was completed and JAS were very happy to come back and sort out whatever was required.

We are absolutely delighted with our kitchen and would have no hesitation in recommending JAS Building Services.

JAS have just completed the second project I’ve engaged them to do for me and I couldn’t be happier. Six years ago, JAS were recommended to me by my surveyor at Easton Bevins (Bristol) and the the team did exactly what they were asked to do and to an extremely high standard. For this recent job, I hunted them down again, as I trusted them completely to do a great job.

Despite now being 20 miles outside Bristol, JAS were happy to travel. Every member of this family team (and additional trades and contacts they bring to the mix) are top professionals. JAS are thorough, offer great advice and support (including office staff) and use their wide ranging expertise to give a fair quote and execute all works diligently and with flair. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for a large or small job.

Andrew and his team were exemplary in their approach to this intricate project renovating and extending a Grade II* listed townhouse in the centre of Bristol.

In the initial meetings, crucial clarity and explanation were given in respect of contracts and due process. As the demolition and build continued, we received regular and detailed updates on costings and we were invoiced monthly based on these. The dedicated site manager was onsite daily throughout the project, and no delays were caused by other projects. Attention to detail was paid throughout, and the additional demands and flexibility as the project evolved were embraced by the team. We were living onsite for the majority of the works, and Andrew and his team showed the utmost courtesy and ensured the minimum of disruption to our lives.

Overall, we are astonished and delighted with the result!
